Google News Lab
Google recently rolled out Google News Lab, a collection of lessons and tools designed for journalists and digital storytellers. This is an effort to help content creators tell better stories, to embrace new media.
For those journalists and storytellers who want to take advantage of Google’s numerous tools, you can choose from four different training tracks: Research, Report, Distribute, and Optimize. These take you from researching your story, enhancing it with visualization tools, sharing it with Google’s distribution tools, and making improvements by reading and interpreting the analytics.

Facebook has taken over from Google as a traffic source for news
Not sure your business needs to be on Facebook? According to Parse.ly, a traffic analytics firm, Facebook now refers more readers to news sites than Google. This is based on a review of inbound links to the top 400 news and media outlets. What this means is that more people find news articles and other things to read from what their friends share than from Google. Read more at Fortune.
