What’s my reaction when I see that an online news site, print publication, blog or other media outlet has picked up entire paragraphs from one of my news releases, word for word? I have a moment of joy over the job well done. I have never, not once, wondered why the publication didn’t give me a byline or attribute the content to me. I used to chuckle at the occasional instance where someone else’s name was listed as a byline for my written words Order Cialis Without Prescription, but it doesn’t even make me pause these days. As long as they get my message out, I’m happy.
According to PR Newser, not everyone in my profession feels that way. Not a good way to behave. And I hate it when the worst examples of PR pros get so much traction, perpetuating the bad image. (And, yes, I realize I’m just helping “push” that bad news; but I can’t vent without the link.)
What’s your take?
